To get started with Teams Connect Telephony together with DstnySE, the following is required:
- MS Teams licenses for all users who will use Teams. These should also be assigned to the users.
- MS Teams Phone Standard licenses assigned to all users who will have Teams telephony.
- Two additional Teams licenses of the following types: Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Office 365 E3, or Office 365 E5. These are temporary and only needed during setup.
Accept configuration from Dstny
We will send an invitation to your Microsoft Teams Admin via email.
Open the email and click on Accept Invitation.
Accept the permissions that the service requires. Then click on Check My Tenant.
If something does not meet the requirements, an explanation will be provided on what needs to be corrected.
Note: "Microsoft Teams Phone Resource Account for Phone App" may give a warning if you do not have a spare phone license in your environment. It is not needed to run Direct Routing, if there is a warning for it you can ignore it and click next.
Click on Next.
Select your country in the Country field but leave other configuration as it is. You will also receive information here on what may need to be opened in the firewall to enable telephony in Teams.
Click Save followed by Next.
On the next page, click on Sync Now – Changes Queued, this process can take about 15 minutes.
When the synchronization is complete, we at Dstny SE need to add users, so please contact us. If the email address in the PBX is not the same as the email address of the user for Teams in Microsoft, we need you to specify which PBX user belongs to which Microsoft Teams user.
Synchronize users to Teams
When the connection is complete, we will send another link to your Microsoft Teams Admin so that you can go in and do the final synchronization of the users. You will see which users we have linked and just need to press Sync Now – Changes Queued.
The synchronization can take several minutes.
In some cases, it can take up to a couple of hours from when everything has been synchronized until the user can make their calls in Teams.
The configuration of Teams telephony is now complete, and your users can manage their calls in Teams!
