If you have hardware that Dstny does not support, you need to perform a configuration for it to work with Dstny. Dstny does not take responsibility for your specific hardware functioning with us, and therefore, we primarily recommend supported hardware.
If you order hardware through us, we deliver it preconfigured. This means that you, as the customer, only need to connect the hardware for it to work.
What information do I need?
If you want to configure your hardware, you need SIP credentials. Contact our support, and we will help you obtain this information. Each individual user has a specific username and password.
The information we provide includes:
- Username
- Password
- Domain
- Server: bc.dstny.se/bc2.dstny.se (varies depending on which platform your PBX is installed)
Where do I enter this information?
To access the interface where you configure your hardware, you need a computer connected to the same network as the hardware.
You need the IP address of the base station if it's a wireless phone, or the IP address of the phone if it's a desk phone. In this example, we use a Gigaset N610 to configure a wireless phone. To get the IP address on this hardware, press the button at the front of the base station, which will then display the IP address on the phone's screen.
In some cases, the IP address can be found by going into the phone's settings. This is often the case if it’s a desk phone without a base station.
Once you have found the IP address, enter it in your web browser.
The username and password are usually "admin." If not, this information can be found in the manual that comes with the hardware.
Below you find an example of what it might look like when configuring a Gigaset:
- Domain
- Server
- Username
- Password
We refer you to the manual that comes with your hardware for correct configuration.
